Thefollowing steps represent the best method I know of for producing safe sprouts.
- Buy seed that is properly sampled and tested for pathogens.
- When it arrives, inspect the bags, resample the seed, inspect it, grow it, and test it for pathogens (Sample every bag. Combined samples should at lease 3 kg.).
- Sanitize your seed.
- Use Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Test the runoff water of every crop 48 hours into production.
